Qamishli, Syria− Neighourhoods in the city of Zabadani in Damascus suburb saw heavy artillery and rocket shelling by the pro-regime army on Moday. The Syrian air force also dropped four explosive on residential buildings in both Shallah and Amira districts in Zabadani, resulting in a number of casualties among civilians and enormous destruction in property, sources said.
Khaled Mustafa, a local media activist, told ARA News that seven civilians were killed including a woman and dozens were injured.
Meanwhile, sporadic clashes took place between rebels of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the pro-regime forces near al-Tal Castel, west of Zabadani.
Helicopters of the Syrian air force also carried out four raids on districts in Maliha town in the suburb of Damascus.
“The pro-Assad helicopters bombed areas in the refugee camp of Khan al-Sheeh by explosive barrels, killing a number of FSA fighters who were stationed in the area,” Mustafa said.
Other bombings took place in Khan al-Sheeh area on Monday, claiming lives of at least four civilians.
