U.S.-led coalition launches fresh strikes against ISIS, hitting militants’ tactical units

Damascus, Syria – The U.S.-led international coalition carried out a fresh round of airstrikes against the radical group of the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, U.S. Central Command said in a statement on Sunday.

Coalition’s warplanes launched 22 airstrikes against strongholds and tactical units of IS extremists.

In Syria, U.S. and allies conducted 11 raids against the militants, targeting armored vehicles and heavy weapons in the countryside of Kobane and in other areas of the country. 

Also on Sunday, 11 other airstrikes hit the radical group in Iraq, hitting the group in five cities across the country and destroying tactical units and armored vehicles used by IS militants.
